The Helios Mission

Behind the Name
In Greek Mythology, Helios is a Titan, the god of the sun. He was known for driving his golden chariot across the sky every day, bringing sunlight to all in the world below.

The name Helios Strategies hails to that golden chariot of light - bringing light and power to individuals, teams, and organizations, and highlighting new perspectives and ideas to strategically solve the problems impacting them most.
What Sets Helios Apart
What makes Helios Strategies different? Helios values the impact that creativity has on an individual or team’s ability to develop goals, create plans, achieve success, and avoid burnout in the process. In a world where AI use is growing - people often using it as a crutch rather than a tool - it is of even greater important to place emphasis on creativity. Motivation and inspiration are not found, they are created. Just like muscles are used in sports, creativity, resiliency, and strategic thinking are "muscles" that needs to be exercised too. Helios Strategies works with individuals, teams, and organizations to help them build these skills so they can spend time focusing on their own missions.

Helios Strategies places a unique focus on fostering and building creativity in it's clients. Through specific art-based activities designed to get the creative mind flowing, creativity is developed to help clients plan strategically, think outside the box, and see things from new perspectives.

According to the American Journal of Preventative Medicine, burnout is costing companies significantly - upwards of five million dollars per year. Helios Strategies is dedicated to addressing the burnout problem by providing clients with tools to encourage resiliency, and helping clients align their values.

Many people, teams, and organizations think they act strategically, but find that they are reactionary. Helios Strategies works with clients build skills to think strategically, and to step out of the now to look forward into the future. Helios Strategies partnered with the Arlington County Public Library to provide a Federal Workers Support Group. Facilitated group discussions provide impacted federal workers the space to:

connection: networking with other impacted individuals

curiosity: discuss complexities and trauma surrounding their dismissal from mission driven work

The sessions are centered around connection and creativity. Attendees can share and hear stories, providing and receiving new insights and perspectives. Each session includes a creative project as well, turning off the logical side of the brain and kicking off the creative centers of the brain to build momentum and inspiration.

Meet The Founder
Eva Hogan
Eva Hogan is the Founder and Principal at Helios Strategies. She founded Helios with the goal of developing people and teams to use creativity to solve problems and accomplish goals.
​
She is an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) through the International Coaching Federation and a Project Management Professional. She comes to Helios Strategies with over a decade of experience in customer-facing program management and consulting roles at various companies, including Okta, Ernst & Young, and Accenture. Eva possess drive, executability, flexibility, and facilitation skills from her corporate experience - often having worked in complex, challenging, and evolving environments. These skills are perfectly balanced with her empathetic nature and drive to push people to grow into their best selves, making her not just a coach, but an empathetic executive with the ability to pivot and accomplish goals.

Eva is a graduate of Georgetown University with a Bachelor's in Linguistics. In college, she served as the National Boatswain for the Sea Scouts, Scouting America, the highest ranking youth official for the organization. While in the Sea Scouts, she obtained the rank of Quartermaster - equivalent to the rank of Eagle for Boy Scouts. It was here that she developed her passion with leadership and training, and attributes her scouting experience to providing her with the many skills she's used to be successful in her career.
