Federal Worker's Support Group
Helios Strategies partnered with the Arlington County Public Library to provide a Federal Workers Support Group. Facilitated group discussions provide impacted federal workers the space to:

creativity: reframe their personal brands and missions
-
confidence: redefine their skills in a transferrable way
-
connection: networking with other impacted individuals
-
curiosity: discuss complexities and trauma surrounding their dismissal from mission driven work
The sessions are centered around connection and creativity. Attendees can share and hear stories, providing and receiving new insights and perspectives. Each session includes a creative project as well, turning off the logical side of the brain and kicking off the creative centers of the brain to build momentum and inspiration.

Self-Care for Caretakers Workshop
Helios Strategies partnered with the Autism Society of Texas to provide a workshop on the importance of self-care for caretakers. The facilitated group discussion provided space for members to discuss, open up, feel supported, and gain ideas from others in the same situation:

creativity: brainstorm out-of-the-box self-care tools that work for them

confidence: as caretakers, they know the best care practices - they just need to apply those practices to themselves

connection: networking with other impacted individuals
-
curiosity: discuss complexities and trauma surrounding care work
The session was discussion based, giving individuals the floor to connect and discuss with others. Attendees could share and hear stories, providing and receiving new insights and perspectives. This atmosphere created excitement, motivation, and inspiration. The group walked away with actionable tips they knew would work, and actions for future sessions and meet-ups.
"I loved how [Eva] really drew people out and asked questions and then waited for them to talk. Really engaging one another with thinking about what we do and then getting ideas from one another. [She has] such a calming presence. I was put at ease, [she is] a fantastic facilitator!! [She] asked more too, tell me more about that, what color did you use.
